Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is defined as pressure on the median nerve at the point where it passes through the carpal tunnel of the wrist. CTS is characterized by soreness, tenderness and weakness of the muscles of the thumb, as well as numbness, tingling and burning in the first three fingers of the hand.
These symptoms are most often experienced at night.
This condition usually found in people who perform repetitive movements with their hands, such as casino dealers, office workers (typists, computer operators), and carpenters.
There are many different treatment options available which do not involve drugs or surgery that can help you to end your suffering. Its causes can be many, and our diagnostic procedures are designed to rule out those causes that would not respond to our therapies (i.e. injury to the wrist, rheumatoid arthritis, tumors of the wrist, obesity, vascular conditions, etc.)
